This light-weight elastic can be used with all types of fabrics.  Braided elastic is shrink-resistant and features a horizontal pull that stretches lengthwise. It narrows when stretched. Braided elastic is both washable and dry cleanable. Washing Instructions: warm water wash and tumble dry.
