Our Performance Skirt pattern is a slightly flared, stand-alone skirt that sits at the natural waist.  It includes three styles as pictured above.

Skirts of this style are popular school costumes, so we’ve designed this pattern to be easily customizable and adjustable. While we have presented the styles in 3 unique views, the various fronts and backs can be swapped with each other for a wider range of looks.  Backs 1 and 3 are easy to adjust after the skirt is made, making them perfect for growing bodies or school outfits that change hands year to year:
-The elastic back of Skirt 1 accommodates a range of size due to stretch.
-The pleated back of Skirt 3 requires only a small amount of stitching to let in or out.

The Performance Skirt comes in 12 sizes, with waist measurements ranging from 20 to 38 inches.  Sizes are labeled with letters A-M so as not to be confused with our Solo Dress pattern sizing.  This pattern is simpler than our Solo Dress pattern and is suitable for beginner/intermediate sewers.

The Performance Skirt is best paired with a leotard or fitted top.

PDF Format

This pattern includes two digital formats:
– A4 or Letter-sized grid, for printing at home*
– A0 size for printing at a copyshop

The pattern PDFs for this product are also layered, so you can print only the sizes you want.  Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader is required to access this feature.
