Natural Dyeing & Eco-Printing
We create a variety of naturally dyed and eco-printed textile goods including scarves, jewelry, coasters, bags, and drink cozies.
Eco-printing is a form of natural dyeing where color naturally occurring in leaves and other plant materials is imprinted onto fabric (or paper, leather, or ceramics). Textiles are tightly bundled with plants and steamed to create one-of-a-kind prints. Some fabrics are dyed first with natural dyes, which can come from leaves, flowers, roots, bark, and even insects. Most of the plants I use for printing are gathered by hand in Minnesota. See the process photos at the bottom of the page.
